The Pro Max carries a 200MP periscope camera with a 1/1.28 inch RYYB sensor and 4x optical zoom, paired with CIPA 7.0 stabilization that Huawei claims keeps handheld shots steady even at long range. It also does real time RAW processing at the full 200 megapixels, letting it shoot sharp 20x zoom video, something few phones can pull off. The main camera is a 50MP LOFIC sensor with a variable aperture that swings from f/1.4 to f/4.0, and there's a 40MP ultrawide too.Huawei also added a new True to Color sensor this year, claiming a 43 percent jump in color accuracy over last year's Pura phones. The Pro Max gets a bigger 6.9 inch flat OLED screen, while the Pro sticks with a smaller 6.6 inch panel, and both use Kunlun glass on top for scratch protection, and both phones pack 6000mAh batteries, though the Pro Max charges faster at 100W wired and 80W wireless, while the Pro tops out at 66W and 50W. In Malaysia, the Pro Max starts around $1,201 for its lone 512GB option, and the Pro begins near $907 for 256GB.That's cheaper than a lot of people guessed for a 200 megapixel telephoto.
There's still no Google Play Services on board, since that hasn't changed since 2019. Buyers get Huawei's own AppGallery instead, along with a set of AI photo tools like AI Composition and AI De Glare for shots taken through glass. The Pro Max comes in Orange Ocean, Blush Gold, Blaze Purple and Graphite Black, while the Pro sticks to fruitier names like Guava Soda and Coconut White. Malaysia and Singapore get the phones first, with a Middle East launch set for July 16.
