OnePlus has expanded its budget audio lineup in India with the launch of the Nord Buds 4, which went on sale today, June 25. The new earbuds slot into the brand's popular Nord series, which has built a reputation for offering flagship-adjacent features at prices that don't burn a hole in the pocket, and the Nord Buds 4 looks set to continue that tradition with a spec sheet that punches well above its expected price point.
The headline feature is the active noise cancellation, rated at 52dB in real-time conditions. For a pair of earbuds expected to be priced around $60, that level of ANC is genuinely impressive, and it puts the Nord Buds 4 in direct competition with several other budget and mid-range true wireless earbuds vying for attention in India's crowded audio market. Noise cancellation of this calibre should make a noticeable difference for commuters navigating noisy metro rides, buses, or busy city streets, where blocking out ambient chatter and traffic hum is often the biggest selling point for buyers upgrading from wired or basic wireless earphones.
Battery life is the other number that stands out. OnePlus claims the Nord Buds 4 can deliver up to 54 hours of total playback when the charging case is factored in, a figure that comfortably covers even the most demanding week of daily use without needing to hunt for a charger. Just as useful is the quick-charge capability: a mere ten minutes plugged in is said to return up to 11 hours of listening time, which is the kind of convenience that matters most when you're rushing out the door and realise your buds are nearly dead.
On the hardware front, the Nord Buds 4 use 12mm dynamic drivers with a titanium coating, a material choice typically associated with crisper highs and tighter bass response, paired with a six-microphone array intended to improve call clarity and aid the ANC performance.
