The breach is a big one. Reuters reported over 200,000 files got stolen and dumped on the dark web, and inside that pile were folders carrying Apple's own confidential watermarks and internal code names for the 18 Pro line. Drop test photos. Component schematics. Supplier lists naming who builds what, down to chips and battery parts and camera modules.A group calling itself World Leaks has taken credit. The videos themselves were first posted by an account called @evleaks, which isn't tied to longtime leaker Evan Blass despite the similar name, and that account has since been suspended.
In the clips, the phone gets dropped from a short height, somewhere around fifteen to twenty centimeters, onto what looks like a marble floor. It lands at an angle. No cracks, no shattered glass, just a bit of flex in the frame on impact, which is normal enough. Worth saying twice maybe, since it's easy to miss: the device survived the fall without visible damage. Apple hasn't said a word publicly, though Reuters reports the company is investigating and working with Tata on tightening security. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to be unveiled in September alongside Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Ultra, which so far hasn't turned up anywhere in the leaked files.
