Vijay's Jana Nayagan pulled in Rs 171.84 crore worldwide by the end of its third day in theatres, inching closer to the Rs 200 crore mark. The film crossed Rs 100 crore in India gross within three days, and it had already blown past the Rs 100 crore worldwide mark in just two. Its Day 3 numbers came in at Rs 28.50 crore net in India from 12,299 shows, with another Rs 20 crore landing from overseas screens.

By the numbers, India's gross collection now stands at Rs 108.34 crore, and the net figure sits at Rs 92.35 crore.Overseas collections have added up to Rs 63.50 crore gross so far. That's still short of what The Greatest of All Time managed at the same stage back in 2024, when it had already crossed Rs 220.08 crore worldwide, with Rs 100 crore of that coming from overseas alone. You start wondering how much weight this one film is carrying, being Vijay's last on screen before he steps fully into politics.Directed by H. Vinoth, the movie casts Vijay as Vetri Kondan, a former police officer, alongside Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol.

Reviews haven't exactly been kind, with India Today handing it two stars and calling it a rough patchwork of a film that leans almost entirely on Vijay's screen presence and Anirudh Ravichander's music to stay afloat.
With Rs 100 crore in worldwide collections landing in just two days and another Rs 100 crore mark reached in India gross by day three, that same number keeps popping up as Jana Nayagan chases its Rs 200 crore worldwide finish line.
